CEO

Grant is the CEO of Innovation and Growth for the FKG Group and is currently leading the developing of AATLIS Innovation Precinct and overseeing AgriBusiness Connect. The development will be a multi-faceted workld-cass technology, innovation and fresh food district which will incorporate an integrated agriculture community, transportation and freight access, low cost energy solutions and collaboration and technology focus.

With over 20 years experience working in commercial accounting and business consulting roles, Grant has been an integral part of the FKG Group since 2006, including 12 years as the company CFO.

A fourth-generation farmer, Thomas has an intimate working understanding of agriculture and is passionate about innovation and driving the sector forward.

Thomas is focused on sustainable development and transforming the sector into a collaborative ecosystem where innovators, industry and government work together.

He started his agricultural career at age 10, helping his family drop off eggs at the Queensland Egg board.

The role of Director is a natural progression for Thomas, who is also Director – Strategy Innovation for AATLIS and FKG Group’s Projects Manager.

Systems Manager

Scott is an innovative, reliable and experienced manager whose exceptional communication, administration and technical skills form the foundations of his position. With more than 20 years’ experience in Safety, Environment, IT and Quality Assurance management, Scott is passionate about constantly improving the ways in which the FKG Group operates. Scott took part in the restructure of FKG’s safety system, a notable achievement, allowing the construction division to obtain certification from the Federal Safety Commission. He has also worked on numerous successful award submissions, including the Innovation in Environmental Management and Workplace Health and Safety submission for the Queensland Master Builders Awards.

Scott’s in-depth knowledge and extensive qualifications in a variety of industries (including a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technologies) enable him to effectively contribute to the success of our current and emerging business units from both a practical and managerial oversight standpoint. His input is key to maintaining high-standard systems which enable the FKG Group to deliver the best possible outcomes for clients.

With a strong background in business development and communication, Owen enjoys working as part of a team and is relishing the challenge of bridging the gap between challenges and problem solvers in the agricultural sector.

Commercially smart and broadly experienced, Owen is committed to agribusinesses grow in today’s challenging and ever-changing markets.

Helen is an experienced agribusiness professional with a multifaceted career across various sectors, including agricultural research, banking and finance, exports, and innovation. Throughout her journey, she has remained committed to regional development and scientific innovation. Helen’s approach is results-oriented and relationship-driven, leveraging her expertise to champion best practices and foster stakeholder engagement. This enables her to identify and implement actions that lead to impactful outcomes.

Growing up on commercial farming operations, and a small beef producer herself, Helen has an appreciation and understanding of the challenges of primary production and rural life.

With her experience and unwavering commitment, Helen is driven to contribute positively to industry and inspire others to join in shaping the future of Australian agribusiness.

Marketing and Social Media Specialist

With an almost 20+ year career in journalism, marketing and communications, Rene leads our Marketing and Communications pillar. Rene brings to the ABC team a wealth of practical experience gained from across a range of industries. She spent 15+ years working in higher education marketing and brand management, and more recently has focused on marketing in the private sector, specifically the legal and agribusiness industries.

Rene’s expertise is in brand communications strategy and framework development including Brand Architecture, Visual Identity and Communication. Rene is skilled in creating impactful content and bringing business strategy to life through on-brand content and collateral. She is passionate about her role in bringing to life the innovative stories of our AgriBusiness Connect businesses and network.
