We’re booting up for Agtech Month

It’s agtech’s time to shine.

Queensland Agtech Month and National Agriculture Day both fall in November, so we are ‘booting up’ our support for homegrown innovators working to solve some of the industry’s biggest challenges.

Throughout the month, the Agtech and Logistics Hub will be using its channels to highlight innovators who have developed agtech products and services to solve industry challenges.

The Hub is also encouraging agribusinesses and innovators to share their agtech stories on social media by using the hashtags #agtechmonth #bootup #homeground.

On top of that, the Hub will be hosting and attending a number of agricultural events.

A Robotic Engineering Showcase for manufacturers will be held at the Hub on 8 November. The showcase ‘Strengthen your workforce – the adoption of robotics’, hosted in partnership with DDMAIG, will feature several presentations about robotics focusing on key areas such as the benefits, adoption and implementation.

There will also be a free Drone Mustering Workshop at the Hub on 16 November.

Agtech and Logistics Hub Director Thomas Hall said there are plenty of reasons to celebrate Agtech Month.

“We have some incredible agtech innovation stories in this country, so it’s great to have a month dedicated to celebrating their achievements,” he said.

“Agtech is transforming our agriculture sector, with innovative products not only solving industry challenges but allowing our growers and producers to discover new ways to increase efficiency and productivity.”
